Review of “Top Gun: Maverick”

So, we headed to the theater on Friday evening to see this movie in a crowded theater located at the AMC Santa Anita. The movie was really great as was expected and hoped for. The two hours and ten minutes of this film in addition to the thirty minutes of previews were worth the time spent as the film was action-packed and filled with great performances from previous and new cast members. Tom Cruise delivered a thoughtful and heartwarming performance as did the rest of the cast and Val Kilmer’s return was emotional as we watch that actor model grace during a still powerful presence and what can only be described as his honorable and gentlemanly reaction and endurance of a tough health battle.

The action scenes are spectacular and filled with “edge of your seat” suspense. I rarely come out of a movie thinking I would like to see it again, but this is just that film.

See it at the theater, you won't regret it as the big screen helps to capture not only a terrific performance and visual experience but an opportunity to be grateful for all those servicemen that make life happen out there at sea, while they are protecting our freedom
